Participants Of The Level B1 French Proficiency Training After Finishing The Delf Level B1 Exams.
Jakarta,
November 6, 2025 — The Ministry of State Secretariat of the
Republic of Indonesia, through the Center for Government Translators and
Interpreters (Pusbinter), has officially concluded the 2025 Level B1 French
Proficiency Training. The program, aimed at strengthening the capacity of
government translators, was carried out in collaboration with the Institut
Français d’Indonésie (IFI). Held from May 5 to October 16, this year’s training
continued last year’s Level A2 program conducted in 2024.
To
ensure the quality of the training and the participants’ readiness for the
international certification exam, Pusbinter conducted an on-site monitoring
visit to the DELF B1 examination venue on November 5, 2025, at IFI Jakarta. The
monitoring activity also served as an opportunity to maintain strong relations
between Pusbinter and IFI. During the visit, Pusbinter met with IFI Training
Director, Mrs. Mira, who expressed her appreciation for the Indonesian
Government’s continued commitment to developing foreign-language competencies
for government translators.
Pusbinter
emphasized that the Level B1 program will provide strategic benefits for
government translators, enabling them to better understand, communicate, and
translate French-Indonesian texts in accordance with the Common European
Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This training is increasingly
important as Indonesia’s cooperation with Francophone countries continues to
grow, leading to a rising demand for translation of official documents and
participation in international meetings.
IFI
Training Director, Mrs. Mira, highlighted IFI’s readiness to further
collaborate with the Ministry of State Secretariat by enhancing the quality of
future training or expanding opportunities for government translators to
participate in cultural, linguistic, and diplomatic programs within Francophone
contexts. She also conveyed her appreciation for the dedication shown by the
participants, who completed the training and certification process with
discipline and commitment.
Meanwhile,
the Head of Pusbinter, Sri Wahyu Utami, emphasized that the Level B1 program is
part of continuous efforts to develop highly qualified translators and
strengthen their preparedness in a global environment. According to her,
mastery of foreign languages such as French, which is an official language of
many international organizations will bolster Indonesia’s position in bilateral
and multilateral cooperation.
Pusbinter’s
monitoring of the DELF B1 exam ensured that the curriculum delivered by IFI
aligned with official standards. The visit also provided moral support for the
participants, marking their final step in the program. The monitoring
documented the exam atmosphere, interactions between Pusbinter and IFI
instructors, and discussions on future steps for the next phase of training.
With the completion of the DELF B1 training and examinations, Pusbinter hopes that the enhanced competencies of government translators will bring tangible improvements to the quality of their translation work in everyday government operations. Pusbinter also hopes that its cooperation with IFI will continue to support efforts to strengthen foreign language proficiency, especially as Indonesia maintains strong ties with partner nations.
