The 2026 Functional Training For Government Translation Openning Ceremony At The Studio Room
The
Centre for Government Translator and Interpreter Development (Pusbinter) of the
Ministry of State Secretariat officially launched the 2026 Batch V Functional
Training for Government Translators, which is being conducted online via Zoom.
Held
at the beginning of the year, the training is designed to foster renewed
enthusiasm among participants while strengthening the professional competencies
of government translators. The program forms part of Pusbinter’s ongoing
commitment to enhancing the quality and capacity of human resources within the
government translation sector.
In
her opening remarks, the Head of Pusbinter emphasized that the development of
human resources through continuous training programs is a key foundation for
achieving Indonesia’s Golden Vision 2045. She noted that the government has
identified four main pillars to realize this vision: human resource
development, mastery of science and technology, sustainable economic growth,
and equitable development.
The
functional training reflects the commitment of the Ministry of State
Secretariat, as the Supervising Institution for the Functional Position of
Translator, to prepare professional, reliable, and competent translators in
line with established competency standards. The training curriculum is
developed based on translators’ core duties, which include written translation,
interpreting, preparation of source texts for translation, as well as the
translation of ancient manuscripts and inscriptions, and is tailored to address
practical needs in the field.
Through
this program, participants are expected to produce accurate, precise, and
acceptable translations that support government programs, strengthen
international cooperation, and facilitate the dissemination of strategic
policies to global stakeholders.
The Ministry of State Secretariat also expressed its appreciation to all parties involved in supporting the implementation of the training, including the Language Center of the Faculty of Humanities at Universitas Indonesia, the Pusbinter team, and the organizing committee. The 2026 Batch V Functional Training for the Functional Position of Translator was officially declared open and is expected to be utilized optimally by all participants. (PUSBINTER) (HYP)
